Lorenzo Guio, PhD
FOUNDER + CEO
Lorenzo founded IV-Safe for his passion of making the medical system safer for those most at risk to IV failure. He manages all interactions between the clinical team and staff, directs individual projects, and builds strategies for commercialization and fabrication of IV-Safe products.

Greg Valentine, MD, MEd, FAAP
CO-FOUNDER + CLINICAL LEAD
Gregory is a neonatologist and physician-scientist at UW Medicine. He studies IV failure prevention in low resource settings, including Ethiopia.

LEAD ENGINEER
Cameron is an NIH postdoctoral fellow in biomedical materials. He leads technical development and commercialization.

Krystle studies neonatal health and long-term outcomes in low and high-resource settings. She focuses on the intersection between neonatology and public health.

Elena is a neonatal nurse practitioner at Seattle Children's leading research on IV infiltration and failure events.

Lynn is an associate professor at the University of Washington, Seattle School of Pharmacy. She is an expert on FDA approval, testing, and commercialization.

Megan is a pediatric vascular access nurse specialist at Seattle Children's with expertise on why infiltration events occur and the necessity of their prevention.

Wren is an undergraduate in Bioengineering and Nanomolecular Engineering at the UW. She researches the impact of IV failure on the interstitial fluid, assists on the swelling project, and performs website design.

Sophie is an undergraduate in Biomechanical Engineering. She leads manufacturing, assembly, and material synthesis of Leakage benchtop models, as well as collaborates with industry connections to forward project timelines.

Hesham is an undergraduate in Bioengineering at the UW with a specialization in Data Science and AI. He designs and modifies lab models to improve in vitro testing of prototypes.
